The Pardee Periodical is now accepting submissions for its Online Edition on a rolling basis. The Editorial Board seeks original, thought-provoking pieces that provide insight in fields related to global studies. These works can be produced either for a class or an independent project. All pieces will be subject to review. Accepted pieces are subject to editorial modification.
Authors must be MA or PhD candidates; recent graduates may submit pieces within the same calendar of their graduation.
Submissions can be anywhere from 800 to 1200 words in length.
Citations should be hyperlinked to appropriate sources, unless footnotes are necessary.
Examples of previous pieces published include photo essays, book reviews, and personal accounts.
Submissions should be submitted as a Microsoft Word document to firstname.lastname@example.org with the following subject line: ‘[Author Last Name, First Name], [Submission Title]”.
The Pardee Periodical Journal of Global Affairs publishes original, thought-provoking work of graduate level scholars from across the disciplines with ta central focus on global studies. Working in conjunction with faculty advisement, the editorial board is comprised of MA candidates at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University. The online piece of the Pardee Periodical works to showcase unique ideas, opinions, or experiences that MA or PhD experience throughout their education. Through its Online Edition, the Pardee Periodical has published opinion editorials, literature reviews, and photo journals. These efforts reflect the Pardee Periodicals missions: to empower graduate students to inform and enhance the ongoing discourse in global studies by offering them a platform to publish and disseminate their academic work.
