Submission Requirements (research and policy papers):
- Title page with the paper’s title, a max-250 word abstract, a max 100-word author bio, a full word count, the degree the author is currently pursuing, and e-mail contact information.
- Maximum length of 8000 words, including citations, bibliography, and abstract.
- Submissions must conform to Chicago Manual of Style conventions, including footnotes and a bibliography.
- Manuscripts must be in Times New Roman, double-spaced, with 1-inch margins.
Manuscripts should be submitted as a Microsoft word document (.doc or .docx) to firstname.lastname@example.org with the following subject line: “[Author Last Name, First Name], [Submission Title]”.
Submissions to the Spring 2018 issue are due February 4, 2018, at 11:59pm. Submissions received after this deadline will be considered for the Fall 2018 issue.
Submissions can be anywhere from 800 to 1200 words in length.
Citations should be hyperlinked to appropriate sources, unless footnotes are necessary.
Examples of previous pieces published include photo essays, book reviews, and personal accounts.
